Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Building Construction, Architecture or related discipline.
• Certified Project Management (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification would be advantageous,
• Proven experience in delivery, administration and management of property projects.
• At least 3-5 years in similar role.

About the Role

Assist the Manager Property (PM) and Project Manager in the management and coordination of key property projects for the funds' Investments and the fund's Operations.
This position will be primarily reporting to the Manager Property while also reporting to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) as and when required. The Project Officer’s overall role or objective is to ensure the delivery of key priority property projects for the organizations Investments and its Operations, that are delivered within time, budget, scope and quality.

Requirements

- Primary Accountabilities: Property Project Management
• Assist the Manager Property and Project Manager in the preliminary project analysis of proposed property
investment projects. This may include but not limited to the following key tasks;
o Carry out relevant technical and financial feasibility studies on all property development projects that will
feed into the overall investment business case
o Investigate viability for different property development concepts on a case-by-case basis to guide
optimum participation by the fund in line with our investment risk tolerance. This covers project delivery
model, project budget estimates and delivery timeframe.
o Ensuring that project requirements are in line with all relevant of the funds investment requirements
including regulations and investment strategy
o Provide key project assessments and recommendation to Manager Property and CIO
• Define project scope and overall project brief of all new property projects for approval by the funds
Investment Committee and by the fund's Board.
• Project management of the approved property projects from start to finish and handover to the funds
Investments. This may include but not limited to the following priority tasks;
o Establishing the project delivery framework and project plan
o Ensuring all project deliverables are compliant with statutory requirements and relevant standards
o Determining, establishing and supervising the project delivery resources which can be outsourced,
insourced or a combination of both.
o Act as the liaison point between the funds Investments and project delivery resource.
o Representative of the funds' Investments and its Operations in project committee meetings
o Manage and monitor project delivery according to scope, budget, time and quality
o Provide regular reporting to both Manager Property and CIO including regular updates to the funds
Investment Committee and the Board as and when required.
• Manage all project documentations from initiation, to planning, delivery, monitoring and handover to the
fund's Investment or Operations.
• Management of all project stakeholders from client, deliver resource, end users or operational team, the
funds executive management, Investment Committee, Board and all relevant project resources.
• Manage and monitor all project risks and issues and ensure mitigation plan is in place to manage these
risks
• Report on any areas of consideration for improvement in delivery of projects, productivity and cost
containment.
- Administration
• Effectively manage the project delivery resources and ensure relevant service contracts are in place.
• Regular structured reporting to Manager Property and CIO on key project status covering; costs against
budget, project timeframe planned against actuals, scope, quality, risks and issues.
• Regularly inform the Manager Property and CIO, on major project issues or risk and ensure management of
these issues and risks with appropriate recommendations and action plans for improvement.
• Facilitate monthly project committee meetings to update on project progress against, costs, time, scope
and quality.
• Provide regular updates to the funds Licensed Investment Manager (LIM) as and when requested.
• Assist the fund's Manager Property and Project Manager in preparing status reporting via our Property
Meetings or our Operational Meetings and Investment Committee meetings as required.
- Vision & Strategy
• Assist the fund's Manager Property, Project Manager and CIO, as and when required, in providing advice,
suggestions and or input for vision, policy, strategy and direction settings and be responsible for
implementing strategic goals for the department and organization as a whole.
- Compliance - Ensure compliance to:
• Our client's company policies
• Superannuation Act.
- Key Relationships/ Stakeholders
• Internal: Investment Committee
• External: Outsourced project management firms, external property valuers, statutory authorities and
relevant government agencies, operational service providers.

About the Company

Our client is a defined contribution fund (accumulation fund) approved under the Superannuation (General Provision) Act 2000. The Fund is governed by the Board of Directors of our client, the Fund's Corporate Trustee ("the Trustee").
The Fund exists to invest amounts contributed by or on behalf of Members for their retirement. It has no purpose other than to serve the interests of its membership.
